Glass
This is the main component of the neon thread. It consists of a crystal or borosilicate glass tube, which can be transparent, colored, or powdered. It is expertly shaped over a flame to give form to the light, carefully following a design, an idea, or an inspiration.
Noble Gas
The glass tube is filled with an inert gas, usually argon or neon. When an electric current passes through the gas, the electrons are excited and produce visible light.
Electricity
Inside the glass tube, there are two electrodes, usually made of metal, that allow the electric current to pass through the gas, thereby generating the bright light.
Neon Wire
History
From the first tube that lit up at the beginning of the last century, the neon thread traces the luminous history of an incandescent past.
Neon Wire
Present
The neon thread vibrates, reflecting the contemporary energy that lights up the present. A story of resilience and passion.
